The NDC Marching Band has been marching in the Little Britches Parade for over a decade. It started with only 38 students at that time, and has continued annually only taking a break in 2020 during the pandemic. In 2021, while restrictions were still in place and concerts were virtual, the NDC Marching Band performed a sort of field show for the first time. In the 2025/2026 school year, the ensemble grew to 82 students. It consists mostly of Grade 7 and 8 students, with students volunteering from older grades as well. That makes it the only junior high school marching band program in the province. Although the Little Britches Parade was cancelled in 2026 due to unsavoury weather, the NDC Marching Band will make an appearance in the Okotoks Children's Parade and Festival on June 20, including marching in the parade, and performing at the Okotoks Recreation Centre at the Children's Festival. # Performing - [[YMCA]], originally recorded by [Village People](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Village_People), Arr.
