![[2024-2025 Cantando Group.jpg]] The Grade 9 Concert Band had 29 students this year, and quickly advanced themselves to a higher level of musical performance in Grade 3 literature. They took a piece of music that was performed by the University of Alberta Senior Honour Bands this year, *[[Halcyon Hearts]]*, and along with *[[Highlights from Harry Potter]]* earned themselves a **Distinction** at the Edmonton Cantando Festival. They are now gearing up for their first High School Music year next year, and in doing so will be preparing to fly to **Montreal** in April of 2026.
