Although they are the youngest of our jazz combos, that did not slow them down. They performed four total performances this year, each time honing their improvisational skills, and earning a **Distinction** at the Highwood Lions Music Festival
## The Imperfectionists

This ensemble spans Grade 9 through Grade 11 students, and they approached some of the hardest jazz standards including *In The Mood* and *Blue Bossa*, performing at four different events this year. Their growth earned them a **Distinction** at the Highwood Lions Music Festival.
## Taking Back Saturday
![[2024-2025 Taking Back Saturday.jpg]]
This is our oldest of our jazz combos, and they had a very successful year. With four performances on behalf of the school music program, and a **Distinction** at the Highwood Lions Music Festival, this group also began seeking paid performance opportunities, becoming a semi-professional ensemble. They are still accepting gigs, if you have a need for live music!
