You’ve tried your hand at design. Now it’s time to look at what others have already produced.
You may have no connection to these images. However they have made choices with each element, principle and typographical option they included. There must be a reason why, or else they wouldn’t have been successful in getting the job.
# Your Tasks
**Provide a review of each of the provided images**. Each design shows evidence of a specific set of choices involving each of the elements of design (line, space, texture, etc.), the principles of how to design them (contrast, balance, emphasis), and the typography used to deliver the message.
1. For each image, list the elements of design and the principles of design, and how the designer chose to use them (or in some cases, exclude them)
2. For each element and principle, explain why you think the designer chose it the way they did.
3. Examine the typography. Did they provide variety? What styles did they choose? Why did they choose that type of typography?
4. What parts of the design do you feel was most successful (was able to grab your attention the most, or deliver to the message most effectively)?
5. What parts of the design do you feel detracted from the message or desired effect?
6. What would you have changed? You must identify at least one key element or principle that you would have used differently.
Following this assignment, you may think differently about how you produced [[Assignment 4 - Make a Message]]. You are welcome to adjust anything you have submitted to that assignment if you feel it would improve your message.
