At this point you have discussed the Elements and Principles of Design, Typography, and how those concepts connect to the world of the web.  Now it’s time to put all your learning into practice … to meet your clients’ needs. You are a web designer.  You are not a web developer (yet).  Your purpose is to create a website that meets each of your 3 clients needs.  A client interview has provided you with a profile of the business.  Use that information to create a website layout that will meet your clients needs.  Consider at least a front page and any internal pages.  You do not need to create the content, just the design layout. You can make your design using any tool you wish.  The most accessible is Google Slides (at which point you can make a slide match a widescreen format or a custom 9 x 16 format instead to represent a mobile device. Do not forget to include a summary explaining all your decisions connecting Elements, Design Principles and Typography to the brand identity you have been provided or devised. # Client Profile 1 - Zenith Spatial Designs **Device Target:** Desktop-First (optimized for  and widescreen viewports) **Branding Scope:** Strict / Established Brand Guidelines (Rigid prerequisites) - **Business Overview:** A high-end architectural firm specializing in sustainable commercial build-outs and luxury residential spaces. - **Target Market:** Commercial developers, corporate executives, and high-net-worth homeowners (ages 35–65). - **Key Products/Services:** Architectural project portfolios, interactive 3D blueprint tours, and executive consultation bookings. - **Mandatory Brand Guidelines:** - **Color Palette:** Void Black (#121212), Architectural Concrete (#E5E0D8), and Terracotta Rust (#B85C38). - **Typography:** _Playfair Display_ (Headings only) paired with _Inter_ (Body/UI). - **Logo/Asset Rules:** The provided geometric line logo must always sit top-left with a minimum 24px padding clear zone. - **Visual Objectives:** - Demonstrate **strict grid alignment** and rule of thirds across wide viewports. - Apply **whitespace and proximity** to convey luxury and sophistication. - Establish high **focal contrast** between photography and minimalism. ![[zenith 1.png]] # Client Profile 2: Drift Pop-Up & Creamery **Device Target:** Mobile-First **Branding Scope:** Guided / Flexible Brand Identity (Core vibe provided; typography/palettes adaptable) - **Business Overview:** A mobile artisanal ice cream truck and pop-up shop that changes location daily across urban centers. - **Target Market:** Gen Z, university students, and young families (ages 16–34) seeking fast, trendy food experiences on the go. - **Key Products/Services:** Live GPS location tracker, daily flavor menu, mobile flash-ordering, and pop-up event schedule. - **Guided Brand Direction:** - **Tone & Vibe:** Energetic, youthful, retro-modern, and high-contrast. - **Color Palette:** Must combine a soft pastel base (e.g., Mint or Cream) with an energetic accent (e.g., Electric Coral or Hot Magenta).
