# First Playing Test Dates Coming Up! Students will be demonstrating skills on their instruments very soon, and have two ways to do it; 1. Online using BandLab 2. In-Person on the Dates Below. If a student chooses to complete a playing test online using BandLab, they must do so in advance of the In-Person Date for their class. A demonstration is included for you below of the Grade 7 Playing Test. <iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/q8Cjp6yOxeE?si=J6TU96oVlduET1Pe" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> If a student chooses to complete the playing test in-person, it will happen during the regularly-scheduled band class on the following days; - Grade 7 - October 27, 2023 (B-Flat Tetrachord) - Grade 8 - November 15, 2023 (G Minors) - Grade 9 - November 15, 2023 (B-Flat Chromatic) - Instrumental Music 10 - November 16, 2023 (F Major Scale) - Instrumental Music 20 - November 16, 2023 (Full Instrument Chromatic Scale) - Instrumental Music 30 - November 16, 2023 (A-Flat Major Scale, 1.5 octaves) Late completions cannot be accepted, so students are heavily encouraged to complete work on BandLab.
