# We're going to the Airdrie Festival of the Performing Arts! The Grade 7 Concert Band is getting their first overnight Band experience via the Airdrie Festival of the Performing Arts on **March 24 through March 25, 2026**. The trip includes an overnight stay at the Days Inn in Airdrie, breakfast included, downtime at the Genesis Place with the waterslide and lazy river alongside the pool (lifeguards provided), the festival experience, and a final stop at Studio Bell in Calgary on the way home. Here are the details you need to know; ## Itinerary ### March 24, 2026 3:30 PM - Leave Notre Dame Collegiate 4:30 PM - Arrive at Days Inn, check-in. 5:00 PM - Walk to Restaurants (multiple options in the area, will coordinate with chaperones) 6:30 PM - Back at Hotel, load onto bus 7:00 PM - Go to Genesis Place for swimming downtime 8:30 PM - Return to Hotel 9:30 PM - Evening Prayer 10:00 PM - Lights Out ### March 25, 2026 7:30 AM - Final Wake-up Call, Breakfast provided by hotel 8:00 AM - Checkout and leave hotel for Festival Venue 8:30 AM - Festival Warm-up 9:00 AM - Performance at Bert Church Theatre 9:30 AM - Workshop with Conductor Adjudicator 10:00 AM - Listen to another Band at Festival 10:30 AM - Depart to get food for lunch 11:15 AM - Load bus, eat on the bus 11:45 AM - Arrive at Studio Bell 12:00 PM - Self-guided tour and Kimball Theatre Organ Presentation 2:00 PM - Load Bus for departure 3:00 PM - Arrive back at Notre Dame Collegiate, trip is done. ## Fee - $110 - Covers accommodations, Festival fees, transportation, Genesis Place, Studio Bell and one breakfast Students will need to either pack a bag lunch/dinner or bring money for Tuesday night supper and Wednesday afternoon lunch. # We will need Chaperones! I will need at least **2 Female Chaperones**, and would really enjoy an extra male chaperone on the trip as well. If you are able to do so, please let me know as soon as possible, as we do have Chaperone-related paperwork that has been known to take a couple of weeks to process. ### Students will need to pack: - An overnight bag with a change of clothes to include white shirt, black pants, black socks, black shoes for our uniform (jacket will be provided) - Winter travel clothing - Swimwear (if desired, may only be used at Genesis Place) and a towel (we will not be able to borrow hotel towels) - Money or Bag Food for Tuesday Supper and Wednesday Lunch - Personal medications (cannot be administered by teachers nor chaperones) - Instruments, Sheet Music and Pencils ## The Airdrie Trip has always been a fantastic way for students to get used to off-campus activities, and Airdire always provides a top-notch festival.
