Hello all, Thanks you again to all the students who participated in the would-be Little Britches Parade this past Saturday. As mentioned in a previous email, I have some new alternatives for which I need feedback. ## I am asking that a survey be completed for every student in the music department. The survey is available at [https://forms.gle/KvTYZh28zMNFPfpH7](https://forms.gle/KvTYZh28zMNFPfpH7) and will help me gauge interest and availability for the NDC Marching Band to participate in the Okotoks Children's Festival and Parade on June 20, 2026 and/or the Showbands Showdown on June 28, to which we have been invited by the Calgary Stampede Showband. In order for these plans to proceed, I would need commitment from a critical mass of musicians to ensure success. That is why I need a clear response for every student, so I can assess whether or not I have enough students to participate in each event. ## Okotoks Children's Festival and Parade - Saturday, June 20 If this event turns out, we would arrange to transport students from NDC to the parade location. Likely the bus would leave NDC at 8:00 AM, the parade itself starts at 10:00 AM and travels down Elizabeth Street, and likely we would be finished by 11:00 AM with a potential return time for Noon. Lunch would either be arranged in Okotoks or High River for the students. More details would be finalized once we know we have enough students able and willing to participate. ## Alberta Showband Showdown - Sunday, June 28 This is a truly unique opportunity to experience a Showband format instead of a Parade format. Students would leave by bus at NDC at approximately 4:00 PM, arriving at **McMahon Stadium** by 5:00 PM. We would have supper there, and perform for the Showband Showdown as a guest (non-competitive) group. We would also enjoy all the other performances by the 6 showbands from across the province. Return time would be approximately 11:00 PM.
